Albert Hammond, Jr. – Call an Ambulance

A lovly song for all you blog readers. Enjoy, it’s from the solo album to The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond, Jr. I just ordered the album myself! Some lovly tunes. Oh, forgot to mention that the album is called Yours To Keep. Found it when I was looking up the song “Your To Keep” for the songweek last week. Funny how one thing can lead to another…

Lyrics after the jump

Call An Ambulance by Albert Hammond, Jr.

Once I was told
That a boy caught a cold
And he left to go home to get some sleep instead

Well, his baby stayed where she was
I go talk to her ‘cause
I wanna sleep with her

And you would only hold me
If I would never tell you it would end
And you would never have me
‘Cause you were only wanting to be friends
And you would always hold out
Till ya gave out

Now that he’s back
I’m afraid you’ll go back to his bed
Where I know he’ll try to keep you

Well, I’m well aware of what she does
She won’t leave me because
I sleep with her

And you would only hold me
If I would never tell you it would end
And you would never have me
‘Cause you were only wanting to be friends
And you would always hold out
Till ya gave out

Very nice song! Kind of like Beatles? Would like to know when it was made. Do you know?

Not sure when it's made, but you can read about the album here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yours_to_Keep

But I'll guess it's made around 2005, since the album was released 2006..
