With this post I want to try something new, and that is to start write some small reviews of the board games I have. Not sure of the quality or if this will be a good source for reviews, but it will be what it will be. Let’s start!
A few weeks ago I received the fantasy RPG Arcadia Quest by Cool Mini or Not and Spaghetti Western Games, which is a board game I Kickstarted back in March. I mostly pledged for it because CoolMiniOrNot was behind it, the same company behind Rivet Wars (an awesome war game for two players), so I didn’t know what I was getting, other then that there where cool chibi miniatures in it.
So the second game I’ve kickstarted from CoolMiniOrNot is an adventure board game by Spaghetti Western Games called Arcadia Quest. I have no idea how it works, but it’s seems like a good option for role playing board games, that don’t need a game master. Plus the PvP options can open up some interesting stuff.
I took some images of the content I ordered, they didn’t turn out great, but you can look at the monsters. I’ll take some photos when I play the game, so you can also see it in action.
I should try to do a review of the games I have, that could be cool.
The faceless heroes/monsters are really cool. And that figure in the back looks like “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named”.
As mentioned earlier today I got the finally loot from the Kickstarter campaign! I had hope to set up a massive battlefield today, but I’m not in the mood, so you have to stick with just images of the box content. Enjoy.
If you’ve been following me on Instragram you probably noticed I got a pretty big haul of board games this week. I’ve been a big fan of Kickstarter for a long time, and last year I kickstarted Rivet Wars, which I’ve blogged about earlier. On Tuesday I got the rest of the kickstarter loot, complete with all the expansion and extra armies. Going to be a lot more action next time I play! Next post will be with images from what is inside all these boxes. So stay tuned for more Rivet Wars action.
On wednesday the game Arcadia Quest arraived (from the same producers, Cool Mini or Not). I’m super stoked to try this out, but not sure when I will have time, maybe next weekend. I’ll show you what is inside these boxes tomorrow. First it’s Rivet Wars.
I also got another package yesterday, Rivet Wars. A kickstarted board game by Cool Mini Or Not, that I’ve been waiting for quite some time, as my first shipment got lost in the mail. Sadly I don’t have time to open our play it yet, but I’m hoping to have time to open it up and take some photos of it this weekend. So stay tuned!
Bought new shoes yesterday. Some awesome K-Swiss outdoor shoes. A new brand for me, but they where so cool I couldn’t resist buying them. They fit really well on my foot and is excellent to ride my BMX bike with. Better grip then my old Etnies shoes. They are also brighter and fit me more. Check out a little gallery I made after the jump.
Other news, I’m moving back home next weekend. So started packing. I’ve collected a lot the two years I have been living on this school, Voss Folkhighschool. Been fun, but it is going to be good to come back.
