Last week I went on a little shopping spree on ebay and bought some of the gems of the Dreamcast era. Shenmue and House of the Dead bundled with a light gun! Just need a CRT TV so I can try the light gun out!

Professor Layton and K

As usually I buy games every know and then. This week I ended up buying the remake of Jet Set Radio for XBLA (thats the reference for Professor K). I have it both for the Dreamcast and Xbox from before, but I always wanted an HD-version and a more convenient way to play it. Plus I wanted to support the games I like. So if it’s coming in a hard cover for the PS Vita I’m probably buying it even thought I don’t have a Vita (yet). So, back to the game. For me it wasn’t a good port, the sound was a bit laggy and strange. And after a bit googling I read that there where other that was experiencing the same problem, but sadly no solution. They where guessing it was a hardware problem. Other then that it looked ok, some of the textures was the same, so not the complete makeover it could have been. Guess that would cost Sega to much.

I’ve also got my hands on some Nintendo DS games. Of course the new Pokemon White 2 (not that I have the time to play it), and finally New Super Mario Bros. Which is not really a game I enjoy that much, but I feel that a proper collection should have at least most of the Mario games. And last but not least I’ve finally got not just one, but two Professor Layton games! Last Specter and Unwound Future. Just need to plan some time to play them. I do really like puzzles of the type that are in the Layton series.

Jet Set Radio awesomeness!

I’m a huge Dreamcast and Jet Set Radio an, and these custom consoles are just plain awesome! I’m speechless! It’s made by Oskunk and is it one web site you visit today, it should be his Flickr gallery.

Rezness

Followed some links today, and ended up at a blog showing off some awesome unpublished “hidden” Rez artwork. For those who doesn’t know what Rez is, either see this or imagine a game with pulsating lasers and light with awesome trance music.

You could also check out this website dedicated to Rez when it first came out.

This came in the mail

A lot happened today. First I wake up to find out someone have stolen my new squash shoes. So had to take my old ones to practice today. That sucks! Now I need to spend another 1000NOK on new shoes! Unfair, what have I done to karma to deserve that. Hum…

Luckily it got better at school. I finished my home exam in C, one day ahead. Cheers. Now I don’t need to stay at school all the day tomorrow. So now I can go and have dinner with my dad.

I also got three packages in the mail. Couldn’t guess any of them, and one was even marked with figurines. And I hadn’t bought that! So was tripping up the five floors so I could open them up! One was the third Sigur Rós album I won, second was Sega Superstar Tennis which I won in a competition over at Retro1.no.   BroboCop was the competition holder. Thank you! The last one was Record of Lodoss War. A great game for the Dreamcast. A bit rare, so I’m quiet happy with it.

And here is one of the Record of Lodoss War
