The last two weeks

As I said yesterday I’ve been home for over two weeks. Right after we got home we went to my cabin (at the lake) and did some painting inside with my brothers. The same day a bomb went of in Oslo and there where a massive massacre at Utøya. I guess you’ve all heard about it (read more at NRK). My condolence goes out to everyone who where by these two incidents.

The week after, on Thursday, my best friend came to visit and we spent the next five days just chilling in my apartment. He bought Infamous 2 as my birthday gift and we beat that game by Sunday and we also played a lot of Magicka (great game). This week I’ve been mostly working on another Heroclix app, and I’ve started working how to renovate my living room. I’ve decided to go for buying Ikea shelfes and covering one of the two walls that need to be reovated. Check out the image at the bottom. Going to be sweet with all the shelf space. I also thorn down some of the wallpaper to see if it was loose, and it was looser then I would have guess. Some of the plaster even gave after. So that put me on another idea, what about revealing the old brick wall underneath? Not a good idea. It took me 30 minutes to tear down the little space over the door and several hours to clean up the dusty mess after. And the result wasn’t very nice. The brick wall wasn’t that good looking. At least that was I think. I sent a photo to my friend and he think it would be cool, I just need to clean it. So we’ll see what I’ll end up doing.

Other then that I haven’t done much, I played some Heroclix of course. There was a new set that had arrived (Captain America), and I won the first sealed tournament. Go me! I also used some days to really clean my apartment. Dusted the whole place plus I cleaned my windows. Hadn’t done that since I moved in, so needed to change the water for every window. It turned black, but now I can finally see out.

I already have the TV-bench.

Thursday = boardgames night

The last two Thursday I’ve been visiting my local fantasy store Outland to play boardgames with known and unknown people. Today was Thursday. So I’ve been playing boardgames from around half past three to half past eight. It’s been  mostly Magic, but I tried three new fun games, one was about removing wood bricks from a balancing plate, second was Guillotine, and third was about taking a stick before the one you challenged (plus something more that I won’t explain). Other then that I haven’t done much, I was at work. I also played with soft swords today, check out the awesome pictures over at my friend Christinas blog.

I’ve also added some more hipster photos to my Flickr page, and a new stencil I found right where I live.

Here is also an update about my vinyl projects. I’ve also started another not vinyl project, but more about that on Saturday. There is also a picture of my Lego Series 1 collection. I soon have all of them! Plus two pictures of a fun hamburger I made.

8a/52 and 8b/52 – Tromsø

8a/52 - Tromsø

‘name’ and me was visiting a friend in Tromsø last week, so since we forgot to take picture last week, we’re uploading two for last one and two for this week. Here is ‘name’ at the south west side of the island with sea and some mountains in the background.

8b/52 - Tromsø

We also visted a museum, which had a huge dinosaur. ‘name’ was a bit frighten.

Trials HD: friend score comparison

This is how the new in-game friend score comparison feature works! This is taken straight from the forum.

Skill game friend scores:
trials_hd_screen_07

This is the Delivery skill game. You have to haul the cart filled with bombs as far as you can in one minute time limit. If the bombs are shaken too much or fall out of the cart, they will explode. The score is simply the distance how far you can reach before the bombs explode or the time ends. While riding the track you can see the gamertags (player names) of the top 10 players in your friend list showing the positions where they have reached.

Trials racing friend scores:
trials_hd_screen_10

This is one of the new hard racing tracks, called King of the Hill. You can see the friend comparison meter in the top of the screen. It shows in real time how much ahead/behind you are compared to the friend that is closest to you currently (and the player ranking – a feature not yet shown in this old screenshot). If you ride much faster or slower compared to the friend shown, the comparison meter will automatically swap to another friend that is closest to you. So you have always someone to race against. Currently I am racing against “jorsai2” (one of Jorma’s test profiles).

Weekend in 16 hours!

Had my best friend over today, that was super fun. We meet at one of the local Gamestop stores and I bought myself three new Gamecube games (they have this three for the price of two deal), Dancing Stage Mario Mix, Mario Party 7 and Donkey Konga. So now I can use my dance mats and bongos! So we ended up playing Mario Mix and Donkey Konga the whole evening. We even completed Mario Mix on easy. Did go rather quick. Around two hours. Did you know that you don’t have to push up/down when dancing on easy?! That’s silly! We also watched Arrested Development while eating yelly. He bought season two, it’s hilarious!

I’ve also have some pictures of my Gamecube hooked up to my computer! Played some Wind Waker last night. Super fun, love the graphic!

YogiTea of the day: Oneness is achieved by recognising your self.

Late up and gaming

Sleepy…Think I have something to say, but I also think I have forgot it. That’s fun…not. Yesterday, I had planned out an post about what I have done this week, but now I can’t remember a thing. Well, not completely true. I did got an invite to join the Quake Live beta (which is Quake played through a browsers), which I also tried out yesterday, but wasn’t that fun. Maybe because I don’t really feel like playing on my laptop. I’m a 360 boy now. The only games I play on my Asus is indie games! Other than that I’ve order some new movies from Play.com. Great site with great prices. They even ship them for free! That’s nice!

Not sure if I told you all that I manage to get the ram expander to my Nintendo DS to work, but I did. Took some googling, and now it works like a charm. I can even use the Opera browsers to surf the net in classes!

“Anywo”, don’t think I have much more to say. I’m having a friend sleeping over tonight. Thats fun!
