I never managed to find some time to continue on the slow month post, so here I am. Doing a short recap of the last 30 days of board gamding, using Instagram images and text.
The week after I had been skiing I ordered two new board games that I’ve had never heard about, but seen on-line. Regatta and Hanabi.
That’s the boxes. Regatta is as the name implies about sailing. Pretty easy set up. You put up four buoys in a square, where two of them mark the starting line, and you have to sail around the two others. To move the boats you use cards that you play from your hand, and move the the length of the card. So pretty easy. I will hopefully write more about it when I try it more thoroughly, as I’ve only played it with my girlfriend ones.
It’s pretty cute. Hanabi on the other hard is also a card game, but here you collaborate with the other players to make the most wonderful firework! Haven’t tried it yet, but I think it can be some easy fun.

So the second game I’ve kickstarted from CoolMiniOrNot is an adventure board game by Spaghetti Western Games called Arcadia Quest. I have no idea how it works, but it’s seems like a good option for role playing board games, that don’t need a game master. Plus the PvP options can open up some interesting stuff.
I took some images of the content I ordered, they didn’t turn out great, but you can look at the monsters. I’ll take some photos when I play the game, so you can also see it in action.
I should try to do a review of the games I have, that could be cool.
The faceless heroes/monsters are really cool. And that figure in the back looks like “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named”.
More images after the jump. Continue reading Arcadia Quest
If you’ve been following me on Instragram you probably noticed I got a pretty big haul of board games this week. I’ve been a big fan of Kickstarter for a long time, and last year I kickstarted Rivet Wars, which I’ve blogged about earlier. On Tuesday I got the rest of the kickstarter loot, complete with all the expansion and extra armies. Going to be a lot more action next time I play! Next post will be with images from what is inside all these boxes. So stay tuned for more Rivet Wars action.
On wednesday the game Arcadia Quest arraived (from the same producers, Cool Mini or Not). I’m super stoked to try this out, but not sure when I will have time, maybe next weekend. I’ll show you what is inside these boxes tomorrow. First it’s Rivet Wars.
Soon done with my giraffe! I’m also working on my “secret” project, but more about that later tonight. Need to make some adjustments first.
In other news, I got myself Hero Quest for Atari ST, and a dress I ordered for my girlfriend as a little gift.
Not much happened today. Was at school, found out that I need to learn all the hiragana sign to Monday (can’t even remember the proper name for them, had to wiki it.). So this weekend I’m going to play hiragana games and look at flash cards. Going to be super fun! Other than that I “found” a little ad for my blog at my job the other, “someone” had been writing my blog address on a sketch-up. How cool isn’t that. Took two pictures, I’ve also took a picture of my new refrigerator magnets. A cow and a panda, super cute!
I’ve also got two DS games in the mail today, Lock’s Quest and Dragon Quest: The Chapter of the Chosen. Looking forward to try them out when I have some more time. Also found out that I need to rearrange my collection, and take some new pictures. I’m also working on “banner’s” for my project page. So look for an update near you. Hehe…
